Paradise Lost 2000 - 2003 |

"Paradise
Lost gets people thinking about freedom and the way we think
about nature. It is about the way we construct ideas of nature
and freedom. Blue budgies don't exist in the wild, they are
bred. There are pet shops with lots of budgies in cages and
they are in people's homes but because they are in this white
cube gallery space it instantly becomes something to think about.
Rather than being domestic, it is an image of what we do to
nature."
